Po Nagar Cham towers in Nha Trang (Vietnam)

The Po Nagar Cham towers are Nha Trang´s most popular sight. Of the estimated ten towers, or kalan, constructed here by the Hindu Cham people between the seventh and twelfth centuries, only four towers remain. The central tower, dating back to the seventh century, is dedicated to the god Cri Cambhu. Believers (very often childless couples) pray here for fertility at its lingam. AL8_8992b
