A rainy afternoon in Hoi An became unexpectactly colourful by the vietnamese people wearing the plastic raincoats in different colours: yellow, pink, orange, red, green, blue ….

The huge white Buddha statue seated on a hillside above the Long Son Pagoda (152 steps up the hillside behind the pagoda).
The Long Son Pagoda is built in the 1930´s and is located in the Thai Nguyen in Nha Trang.

The Po Nagar Cham towers are Nha Trang´s most popular sight. Of the estimated ten towers, or kalan, constructed here by the Hindu Cham people between the seventh and twelfth centuries, only four towers remain. The central tower, dating back to the seventh century, is dedicated to the god Cri Cambhu. Believers (very often childless couples) pray here for fertility at its lingam.
Mue Ne was a little unknown village with a harbour for fishermen. Today it is becoming a popular vietnamese beach area and is a weekend retreat for expats living in Ho Chi Minh City. Mui Ne stretched along one 10 km long road and hotels and resorts make up most of the seaward side of the road. Nevertheless, the original harbour with its fishingboats still exists and I took some shots of the village and the harbour of Mui Ne.
