Boats on the Mekong and the riverfront of Chau Doc.
When I visit the Tam Bao Pagoda I could hear two buddhist nuns singing in the praying hall. In the area of the pagoda buddhist nuns have their living houses and a little garden for water lilys and other plants and for sculptures and buddha figures.
HaTien is a little city in Vietnam located 10 km from the border to Cambodia. On the riverbank of the Dong Ho is a great fish-market. I had one day to stay in HaTien and I visit the market, little streets with the living houses and the Tam Bao Pagoda.
Wat Samathi is located in the National Park of the Kep Province. Built on the hills at an altitude of 800 m the Wat has a great balcony with a sea view. One buddhist monk stays there for guarding the area of the Wat, he was so friendly to guide me through the Wat and gives me explanations of the buddhist way to pray and meditate in the praying hall.
Located 1 km from the coast in Kep Province the Samutrangsey Pagoda has an old praying hall for buddhists and some living houses for the monks. A new pagoda is build on the area and still under construction.
