On a little market in Silom, a district in Bangkok, I saw three buddhist monks who pray with a thailand couple. At the end of this little ceremony, the oldest monk ticed a stitch on the wrist of the woman. The thread on the wrist may help to connect the woman with the buddhist faith.

My journey through Southeastasia starts in Bangkok, as so many journeys to Southeastasia start in this “megacity”. Bangkok surprised me with open-minded, tolerant and very friendly people. I loved to discover this town by boat on the Chao Phraya or with the tuktuk. Staying 5 days in Bangkok I visited the King Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Wat Trainit and some other Wats. I found a lot of markets. I experienced a lot of streetfood and I discover Chinatown.
